Panamanian saxophonist Samuel Batista explores cultures and soundscapes through improvisation and structured arrangements. Graduated from Berklee, Batista has taught at The New England Conservatory and performed at venues such as Montreal Jazz Festival, Kriol Jazz Festival and Carnegie Hall. His album, Panama United, debuted at the Panama Jazz Festival. In 2018, Batista toured with singer Ruben Blades while teaching at the Danilo Perez Foundation. He is currently working on his upcoming album featuring the ‘new quintet’
